One of our blessings on furlough is getting to be there for special family celebrations. Sharon's mother celebrated her 75th birthday and we enjoyed a special time with her! It was also a joy to spend time with Sharon's sister Karen who is in the picture and her husband Eric also.

We are so thankful for our family and friends that have prayed for us and encouraged us through the years. We recently got a new prayer card that we are looking forward to sharing with you as we visit your churches over the next few months!

Kindergarten Chapel

We have had a number of opportunities to teach children's classes at our sending church, Spring Hill Baptist Church. This is from the Christian academy at our church. Sharon was challenging them to let their light shine wherever they are as they learned Matthew 5:16.

Our churches in Bogota had their annual reunion of churches on August 20th. This is always a highlight of the year as they have a wonderful time of fellowship between the churches and an enriching time of teaching. Although we are back in the States and weren't able to attend this year, we're praising the Lord for the blessing that it was for our brothers and sisters in Christ there!

Our teens went to a special youth meeting on Purity for all the teens in our Bogota area churches. They were encouraged to come all in white and our teens really put a lot of effort into preparing for this! They had a wonderful time and enjoyed fellowshipping with teens from other churches.

Kid's Day on Obedience

On April 7th we had a special Kid's Day at our church. Our teens helped to plan and lead this outreach! We had a great time working together and challenging them towards ministering to the children of our church and neighborhood. This picture shows Tim leading the singing with the help of some of our clown teens!

QuinceƱera (15th Birthday)

This is Andrea celebrating her 15th birthday. It is a very special celebration here and this picture shows Andrea with her family. A special part of the program is when the girl's father takes off her shoes of childhood and puts on her ladies shoes! As Christians, we also have a special message preached challenging the young girl in her Christian life.

Seminary

Tim has been teaching his class on the Christian Home. Only 2 of the 20 students had said they felt they had been raised in a stable home, so there is much to be taught. It's exciting to challenge these men and women in establishing Christian homes.
