We are having a great time teaching English to the kids in our neighborhood! It has been a blessing to share Bible stories with them and to have 2 of their Moms come for our Bible study also!

Canvassing in Fontibon

This is a group from our El Camino church that came to help us with canvassing our neighborhood. We handed out about 300 invitations to our Bible study along with tracts. One young man came to know Christ as his Savior and we're excited about the interest shown by others that we talked to also!

Ladies Day at El Camino

Sharon had the blessing of sharing with the ladies of our El Camino church. This is the month of love and friendship here in Colombia so she was challenging them to encourage one another in Christian love and sharing that love with our friends and neighbors.

Annual Reunion of Churches

Our churches are encouraged each year in August at our Annual Reunion of Churches. It is a time when we are challenged spiritually with special speakers and blessed by the fellowship that we enjoy among our churches. Engagement of Tim and Rachel!!!

Please rejoice with us over the engagement of our son Timothy Daniel Wheeler to Rachel Arcila Herrera! We are praising the Lord for the sweet Christian girl that He has brought into Tim's life and excited to see what God will do through their lives! They are planning a wedding in December.

Serving God With The Work of Their Hands!

Tim is working with a work group from CA that was here with our fellow missionary Heidi Gott.One of their projects was to make repairs on the roof of our guesthouse, seminary, and church building for the Pontevedra church. What a blessing these brothers and sisters were from First Baptist Church in San Jacinto, CA as they helped to do many projects around the building!

Pastor Omar and Tim celebrating the 10th anniversary with our "El Camino" church. Our first Sunday back we got to be a part of this special celebration as Tim challenged them to stand firm in their faith and encouraged them as we seek to reach our neighbors for Christ.

Our son Tim's graduation!

Our son Tim graduated from Piedmont International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible. We are so proud of his accomplishments! He recently left to return to Colombia and has started a teaching job there. Please keep him in your prayers as he seeks to please God in all that he does!

Off to Colombia with the help of these little supporters!

We were so blessed by the Children's Church Class of our sending church, Spring Hill Baptist Church who are helping us with gifts such as stickers and hair ribbons for the children we minister to, money to help 10 Colombian kids go to camp, and money to help us to get back to the field! They have regularly collected for us and with their generous help, we now have financial clearance and are heading back on May 23, 2013. Praise the Lord with us!!!

Furlough blessings!

What a wonderful furlough we have had as we have shared our ministry in Colombia with our churches! They have been such a blessing to us as they have assured us of their prayers, encouraged us by their interest in our ministry, and blessed us with their gifts! We are excited to be heading back to Colombia soon and have been given crayons, videos, blankets, craft supplies, etc. that will be so appreciated by our brothers and sisters in Christ there!

In loving memory of Marlene Wheeler

Tim's Mom went to be with her Savior on February 12, 2013. She was a godly wife, mother, grammy, and friend to all who knew her. She taught us so much through her love for God and His Word, and through the great joy that overflowed in her life in her service to Him. Our words could never express how much she will be missed nor can we express the peace, comfort, and joy in knowing that she is rejoicing in her forever home!

This is the young couple, Felix and Vicki Pinzon that you have prayed for. They will be having their first baby the end of February! Felix is working as the co pastor of our church in Funza, along with other ABWE missionary Tim Bilbrey. We have known Felix since we first arrived in Colombia and he became a part of our family. We are so excited to see how God has worked in the life of this young man!
